The Free Press Pub has been awarded the Cask Marque for outstanding cask beer quality.
This award is independently inspected and is based on several different factors including the temperature of the beer, how it looks, the aroma and how it is served. It gives our customers the knowledge that we are serving a good quality cask bitter.

Wintertime
Throughout the winter season The Free Press serves mulled wine and cider and a traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings from midday every Sunday. We have a warm open fire burning, to keep you nice and snug.

Well Kept Cask Ales At The Free Press
The Free Press has always had a great reputation for it's ales with an offering of five on tap. The usual Greene King beers are here along with the hard to find XX Mild. There is also ruddles best and a guest ale which we change regularly. The quality of the beer has been recognised by many associations and we are always allotted a part in the good beer guide. Not to mention a prestigious slot in the good pub guide in which only three Cambridge pubs appear.
We have Three Guest Beers that are changed regularly
On draught we have the famous Greene King IPA, Mild and Abbot Ale. Our lagers are as Fosters, Czech Budvar and Leffe. . We have bottled Becks available too. Our draught cider is Stowford Press, and we have Magnersbottled ciders.
We have a large selection of bar snacks ranging from quality nuts and potato chips to an exciting range of homemade Toasted Rolls. Our bar menu includes many classic meals all prepared using the finest, fresh ingredients.
The Free Press has generous outdoor seating for when the weather is fine, enabling you to enjoy your meal and drinks on our intimate walled Garden area to the rear of the building. If you prefer to watch the world pass by, you can relax on our paved terrace which is situated at the front of this historic building.
